Artist's Description of Woman With Food Storage
Purchase this painting
This painting captures a moment when my mother looked up from her chore of cleaning and sorting her food storage. I saw a glow in her eyes and felt she had a deep sense of the spiritual purpose in obeying the Prophet's call for preparedness. During the decade of the 70's, the LDS Church was constantly emphasizing the need for a year supply of food storage. I wanted to paint something that would show the spiritual insight behind the obedience of this program.
