Artist's Description of A Rose Repeated
Purchase this painting
This painting uses shallow spatial abstract shapes as a format to attach tightly painted roses in combination with a face meant to mirror the ideal of a rose. There is an interesting interplay between the crisp edges of the roses, background shapes and the soft, disappearing form of the face and some of the abstract portions. The overall effect is to diminish the nostalgic/romantic while still engaging interest.
