Artist's Description of Waiting For The Voice

Illusionist and mystical, this painting uses horizontal, linear landscape structure to support a sleeping, waiting figure, symbolic of an as-yet-to-be explored life potential which can represent an individual or a people. The figure is clothed in a white cloth, which references classical imagery although the use of the "Native American"-like figure type and desert landscape forms brings the look to a more regional, contemporary image.
